I,m looking for any Westgate born in Yarmouth Norfolk and moved to Bungay in Suffolk, an ancester of mine, Susan or Susannah Westgate was born there, but her family moved back to Yarmouth where she married a Edward Read, looking for any siblings of hers and maybe of his too, both were born around 1804 and married in Yarmouth around 1821, he was born in Yarmouth
I've apparently hit a dead end here. Thomas Allen I was b. 1430 in Outwell, Norfolk, England & d. ? in England. He married Margaret -?- about 1458 in England. These are supposedly my 17G-Grandparents. =)
Gday, Iam searching for any information on John Whitby and Constance Moore married 02 October 1744 in Flitcham Norfolk ,Saint Mary"s I think. They had two children both born in Flitcham Norfolk, Elizabeth Whitby Christening 07 April 1746 and Carter Whitby Christening 26 April 1756, if anyone would be so kind as to pass on any information it would be greatly appreciated.
You seem to know who he married and that he had 7 children. What info are you after? He was a dock pilot, living at Stranton, Hartlepool in 1871 and 1881.
I keep digging hoping to find his parents and any additional family or information.
I know from his marriage certificate that his father was named George. Census shows a family in Thornham with mother Sarah that could be be them, but I'm unable to confirm. Also have not been able to find a birth certificate/record despite him documenting himself as being born in Thornham c.1848
Have you checked the freeREG.org.uk website.? They recently added a lot more data and Thornham is included. (I have been searching Thorpe St Andrew and remembered seeing the placename Thornham) I found this :
