I am searching for Quintana-Negrete families from the Guanajuato-Michoacan areas. Most of my family were from the Abasolo and nearby areas in Guanajuato and a few Negrete's came from Morelia, Michoacan areas. I am also particulary looking for information on Ysidoro Quintana who was a general and fought in the Mexican-French war around the 1860's. I had heard that a book was written about him and would greatly appreciate any information I can get. He was born around 1815 plus/- 5 yrs. Lived for about 80 years. He was married to a Maria Narcisa Duran. They had 4 daughters and a son that I have found so far. His son is Jose Desiderio Quintana.
